T720 High Speed Dual Channel Digital Weight Transmitter into an aerospace application

Rinstrum recently had the opportunity to deploy our T720 High Speed Dual Channel Digital Weight Transmitter into an aerospace application, in a successful collaboration with Black Sky Aerospace.

With less than a week’s notice, our engineering team developed a customized solution to measure the thrust developed by a rocket engine during a static fire. A T720 was configured to sample at 300Hz, and was paired with a Thames Side T20 pancake cell. The BSA Team was very happy with the data captured within the 2-3 second window, and was able to gain a deep understanding of the thrust developed during the test fire.

Rinstrum’s T720 is a customizable dual channel weight transmitter for our OEM clients. It is a robust, low power unit with a completely potted waterproof housing and M12 connectors for easy installation. It can be installed in the vicinity of the load cell/s to reduce cable length and is ideal for harsh environments. RS232, RS485 and CAN options are available for communication.
