Custom Software
Rinstrum first introduced Lua into our weighing technology in 2010. We have been working extensively since then developing our libraries to compliment our 30 years of trade approved firmware that is used on weighing indicators. With many 100’s of Lua applications in the field across Australia, Europe and USA we are continually enhancing our offering.
Lua allows us to build a custom solution for a single site economically and quickly. We use Lua on our R400 series and C500 series indicators through either our MAX offering or custom code development.

Dynamic Rail Scale
Building on our axleWEIGHr, Rinstrum developed an application to capture rolling carriage weights.
Features:

Check weighing portion control using a tablet display with RFID User ID
This application uses a tablet with a custom interface to manage check weighing of product at point of sale for portion management.

Mobile batching with weighing control via web page
This application provides a custom web interface for the operator to control batch out of product on a trailer.

Interface to third party control with touch screen
This application works with third party system using multiple scales with an indicator on each. The touch screens provide the user interface.
- R457 controls batching and managed inputs and outputs, and task execution
TCP Sockets are used for communication, formatted as XML back to third party terminal
Remote weighing with accumulation target and auto email notification
Rinstrum developed an application to track bin weights, log the accumulated weight and notifying a user via email once the target is reached. Feature:
- Once the target reached and ready for collection a notification email is sent
- Target and tare set through indicator
- msmtp is used as the SMTP client.

Trade approved onboard weighing with Price Computing in French
The K491 onboard weighing indicator was enhanced through Lua to include price computing and associated custom docket printed in French. Features:
