Our head office is in Brisbane Australia, with sales and service offices in Germany, USA and Australia providing local support, assembly, and customization for their region We are looking for energetic individuals to be a part of our growing Sri Lankan team.

The Procurement Engineer will play a vital role in the supply chain process, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality materials, components, and services for our technical operations. This role requires close collaboration with suppliers, internal departments, and project stakeholders to meet project specifications, budgets, and deadlines.

Key responsibilities:
– Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, technical specifications, pricing, and delivery performance.
– Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely procurement within the ERP system.
– Maintain updated records of purchased products, technical specifications, delivery details, and invoices.
– Collaborate with engineering teams and sales hubs to align procurement plans with technical and project requirements.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure reliable and quality service.
– Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and technical standards.
– Submit regular reports and prepare presentations or proposals as needed.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Engineering or a technical field.
– 1 year of experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
– Familiarity with ERP systems is desirable.
– Excellent problem-solving skills.
– Ability to understand technical drawings/specifications.
– Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently within deadlines.
– Prior experience in sourcing technical components or materials will be an added advantage.

Duties and responsibilities:
– Supporting existing customer relationships and expanding the customer portfolio
– Acquisition of new customers through targeted sales activities
– Preparing offers and conducting price negotiations
– Planning and implementation of customer projects, including close cooperation with various departments
– Carrying out market and competitive analyses to identify business opportunities
– Supporting the further development of our production software
– Technical support and training for customers
– Ideally experience in calibration law and first points of contact with OIML guidelines

Requirements:
– Experience in the weighing industry or a technical field
– Enjoy selling complex solutions
– Strong intuition for the market and customer industries
– Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
– Strong communication skills and customer orientation
– Independent and structured way of working
– Willingness to travel occasionally
