Since 2007 Rinstrum has been supplying onboard tilt compensated weighing electronics to our customers in Europe. The R400 series indicators use specialist K491 firmware. Truck tilt is measured with an inclinometer/tilt sensor that is working in two axis. The X and Y is fed into the tilt module on the R400 indicator that calculates the compensated weight. The indicator and inclinometer solution is trade approved in Europe up to 15 degrees for pay-by-weight systems.

The R400 indicator is available in various housings, panel mount stainless or ABS or full housing stainless steel or ABS. Powered with 12-24VDC and a DSD module for data storage makes it ideal for onboard tilt solutions. The R400 can handle four, six or eight load cells that are mounted between the chassis and the body. Calibration is a simple three step process for the operator.

We have customised the K491 for a number of customers to handle specific requirements for their onboard tilt weighing applications ranging from LPG gas delivery to waste and recycling applications.m4907

Supported Products

R400 Series Indicators

The R400 series indicators with their modular system allow the flexibility to design for a specific tilt weighing application.

  • ABS or stainless steel with large displays and programmable function keys
  • Versatile power options  AC, DC (12-24VDC) and rechargeable battery
  • Isolated high side outputs (400mA total at 50VDC) – Reduces wiring and the need for external relays, saving installation cost and reducing overall system size
  • Two axis tilt compensation up to +/-15 degrees
  • DSD Module
  • Zemic onboard load cells are alloy steel and ideal for use in onboard tilt applications.
Small Remote Displays

  • In some applications there may be the need for the weight to be displayed away from the indicator, a small remote display satisfies this requirement  for example the indicator may be located in the cab of a truck and the remote display at the rear.
Data Storage Device

  • The Data Storage Module provides non volatile alibi memory storage (6M bytes) allowing users to capture data from the indicator without using a printer.
